Ender 5 Prevent Hot End Wire Complications
thingiverse
Somehow my ziptied cables leading to the hot end managed to get jammed in the Ender 5's narrow crevice between the rail and the stepper. To prevent this from happening again, I designed a print specifically for this purpose. This issue only arises when you mount the stepper on the X axis back bar like I did at one point. I created this print with a raft because it has practical applications in the project. I secured the print using mounting tape. Next, I attached the removed raft to the side of the Ender 5 using more mounting tape. The mounted raft proved crucial as while the wires no longer got stuck in that crevice, they began getting wedged behind the stepper motor, producing an extremely unpleasant noise.
