Ender-5 PLUS - Stepper motor cover
thingiverse
A convenient yet essential covering for stepper motors on Ender 5 Plus printers safeguards against unwanted debris like dust and crumbs that could cause motor malfunctions down the line. If printed in a striking color, it adds an attractive touch. Ensure a slight gap remains between the cover and leading screw connector after installation, as depicted in the provided image from the side view. This cover comes in two versions: an open design allowing direct access to profile screws and a closed version featuring the Creality logo on top. Installation is straightforward: 1. Print your preferred design along with a center cylinder that matches it. The default size for the center cylinder holder is 850, which should work for most printers. However, since every printer prints slightly differently, you can also try smaller versions like 840, 830, or 820 (the radius of the bottom cylinder for the motor body) if needed. 2. Clean up any excess material from the prints and smooth out the cylinder surface if desired. 3. Combine the printed parts together firmly, using enough force to secure them properly. 4. Place and push the assembled cover onto the motor with care. 5. That's it! I hope you enjoy this simple yet useful solution.
