I upgraded my Ender 5 Plus with an SKR upgrade following a video from Tripod's Garage. I initially printed the board adapter I modified, but messed up cutting the case, leaving about 2mm off. To avoid further mistakes, I shortened the adapter mount by 2mm instead. While working on it, I made two additional changes: installing heat-set brass nuts and adding support under the PCB where there was no previous support. The circular supports are designed to fit snugly; a dab of super glue will hold them in place. Upon completion, I created a cutting fixture/mask that allows you to mark the precise window for cutting. Please refer to the attached photos for more details. You can also find step files included. To use the original board adapter, simply move the window 2mm back; the protrusions fit into the SD and USD windows as expected. A large gap is noticeable in the photos, suggesting that the window might be bigger than necessary. Feel free to adjust it according to your needs. I also printed a cover for my case, which exposes the USB and SD ports while covering up the rough steel casing. Remember, when swapping out the LCD's ground wire, you'll need to remove some plating at the new grounding location for proper electrical contact.
