This is a proof of concept digital design for educational purposes only. It is not intended for production use. Please note that this digital design should only be used as a guide, and you should thoroughly examine and understand it before using it in any way. As of October 24th, 2020, the configuration has been updated to Marlin 2.0.7.2. These are my custom config files for the Ender 5 Plus with Marlin 2.0 Firmware on a SKR 1.3 motherboard (I have a 1.4 Turbo installed, but I haven't had time to update it yet). They are very specific to my machine, but I thought others might find them useful as a reference. Here are some notes about my setup: * Motherboard: SKR 1.3 * Display: BTT TFT32 V3.0 * Z-Axis: TMC2209 * E0: LV8729 * Extruder: Dual Gear BMG (3 to 1 Ratio) * Volume: 360x360x400 * Hotend: All metal * E1 PWR: Hotend Heatsink Fan * Parts Cooling: Modified HeroMe Gen4 * PSU: Meanwell Some features that may be of interest include: * The heat-sink fan is driven by E1 PWR to allow PWM control. * Advance pause, run-out, and filament change are all supported. * Firmware Retracts are enabled (you'll need to enable FW Retracts in your slicer). * E1 thermistor is used to monitor ambient/enclosure temperature. * Dual Z steppers are used, with individual Z-axis control. The Z axis is auto-aligned at power-on, so you hardly ever have to re-level the bed. Even when idle or steppers are off, the Z steppers remain active. I use the TFT35 in LCD emulation mode to access all features. I've disabled SD card function since I only print from Octoprint running on a Pi 4. I've also included some photos of my cable management, which can be tidied up easily with split coro conduit and zip ties. My standard starting point profile for Cura 4.6.1 is included - the Benchy in the photos was printed using this profile (supports off).
