Ender 5 Plus - Linear Rail Mod (Remix)
thingiverse
To upgrade the Ender 5 Plus, you'll need to gather the following essential components: 1. Three 450mm MGN12H rails 2. Three MGN12H bearings 3. Sixty-six M3x8mm bolts 4. Sixty-six M3 T-Nuts The total cost for these parts will be approximately $120. You'll need to print two Linear_Rail_Adapter_V3 components. For the X-Axis, you'll require M4 and M5 bolts and nuts. I made a modification to use nuts to tighten the extruder plate to the carriage even further. However, avoid over-tightening since this part experiences limited stress, mainly from jogging back and forth on the rail. When installing the Linear_Rail_Adapter, apply a few drops of epoxy into the screw holes for added stability. The M4 bolts will keep it snug, but with all the movement, you don't want it to come loose. You can still remove it later, but it will require more force. The hot end strain relief system has an updated version designed for taller pneumatic fittings. Installation is relatively straightforward and requires additional M3, M4, and T-nuts. The rail stop features a slightly deeper hole, allowing you to use a shorter screw.
