
Ender 5 Plus Heated Chamber solution

My printer is enclosed by affixing plexiglass to the frame and has a removable cover over the top. I wanted to heat up the chamber so I came up with this solution. I bought the heater from amazon. it is a generic heater and does not have a thermostat so the longer you keep it running the hotter the chamber will get. So I got a PID and a Probe on Ebay to control the temp inside the chamber. I was able to maintain 117 F in the chamber considering the bottom of the enclosure is open and the top cover leaves 2 2"x width of the printer for the gantry to move back and forth. Originally I had mounter draft brushes to cover the gaps but in the long run they did not work, I will come up with a better solution for that at a later date. I have been successful printing ABS with this heater in the chamber without any problems. The heater is mounted on the back plexiglass with 4 screws. It leaves a 3/4" gap on the back so the air can flow trough and the probe can sense the temperature. The PID is mounted in the bottom case along with a SSR. The case also hides that mess of wiring that the printer has. Also my LED light remote module is inside the case. The case is mounted to the extrusion via 4 m5 screws and T nuts. It also sits flush with both the bottom of the printer and the top of the printer electronic case. The only regret I have that I should have made the part where the PID is mounter a little longer so I would have more room for the wiring. Step files are included for those of you that wish to modify it. I printed this one in PETG but you can use whatever you wish. You will need supports to print these parts of course I shouldn't have to tell you that.
