Ender 5 Plus Dual Extruder Setup
thingiverse
I have upgraded my Ender 5 Plus to a Dual Extruder setup with the Chimera 2in-2out hotend, taking on several requests for files and instructions. Here is my attempt at providing some guidance. Most of these parts are modified versions of something else, and sources for the originals are included below. It's possible that minor tweaks were made after printing, but they won't be documented here. **Sources for Unmodified Parts:** 1. Spool Holder - [http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3178835] 2. BLTouch Mount - [https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2759439] I used the CR10/Tevo Tornado one, cutting some off to fit with existing belt setup. 3. Full Graphic Smart Display Mount (or TFT35) - [https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3842765] This part needs a hole cut out for SD card. **Sources for Custom Parts:** 1. Chimera Mount - [https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2947851] I modified the mount to fit with existing belt mounting on x-axis carriage. 2. Chimera Dual 5015 - [https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2759439] I combined the dual 5015 fan Petsfang duct with the Chimera Petsfang duct in previous link. 3. Hotend Chain Mount - [https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4126931] Modified hotend mount to be fixed to printer with wheel nuts, printed chain from other links included on this page. 4. Extruder Mount made to replace existing extruder/runout sensor mount, or can just use for second one. **Full System Overview** * 600W Meanwell PSU * SKR PRO 1.1 Motherboard * TMC2208 Stepper drivers * Raspberry Pi 4 with Octopi * Dedicated 5v PSU for Pi and Neopixel LED strip lighting * Solid State Relay for switching AC power to Meanwell supply * Bigtreetech TFT35 Display (in LCD sim mode since they won't release code for touchscreen menu editing) * Chimera Dual Hotend * Custom edited dual 5015 Petsfang cooler and mount * X-axis cable chain with edited chain-hotend mount (original was just press fit) * Marlin 2.0
