Ender 5 OEM hotend shroud
thingiverse
This is an almost exact replica of the original hotend shroud found on the Ender 5. Compared to the standard one, this version has a few key advantages: 1) Made entirely out of plastic, it weighs only nine grams - significantly less than the stock model's fifty grams - which greatly reduces ringing. 2) Having the fan located outside allows users to install a 4020 fan if desired. 3) The grid in front of the fan was obstructing airflow and increasing noise levels. This design features a simple cutout that enables smoother air flow, reducing overall fan noise by cutting higher sound frequencies. Be sure to enlarge the fans mounting holes slightly using a drill (use a drill bit 0.5 mm smaller than bolt size) before threading them with a bolt for easier installation. (Note: My picture appears of poor quality due to warping issues I experienced when printing it, and I chose not to reprint.)
