I really like what IamSLy was going for with the original extruder arm, which is located here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3595328. Since I like to rearrange things, and often, I needed a way to remove the extruder from the extruder arm without using wood screws. I felt the wood screws would destroy the extruder arm once you removed the screws a couple times, and I'd hate to have to reprint the arm if I couldn't re-insert the wood screws. For that reason, I chose to use M4 x 20mm hex cap bolts and M4 nuts to mount the extruder. I left the bolt slots running the entire way to minimize infill usage, and to allow using a longer bolt than 20mm. 20mm is pretty much the minimum you want to use.
