Ender 5 Enclosure
thingiverse
This is my enclosure design for the Ender 5, inspired by the Prusa Ikea Lack. The height of this enclosure can be adjusted to your preference. It's based on 25x25mm aluminum extrusions, which I used in 1m lengths and did not shorten. If you use shorter lengths, you may not need the mid supports. Besides the printed files provided here are the materials needed: * Ikea Lack 200.114.08 (2 pieces) I don't use the legs of the second table so you can put something else on top if desired. For the hinge: * M6x70 Bolt (2 pieces) * M6x60 Bolt (1 piece) * M6 Nut (3 pieces) For the door: * M4x12 Bolt (10 pieces) * M4 Nut (10 pieces) * Neodymium magnet 5x2mm (16 pieces) For the corner pieces: * M3x12 Countersink screw (16 pieces) * M3x30 Countersink screw (24 pieces) If you change the height of the enclosure, adjust these to fit: * 1m 25x25mm aluminum extrusion (4 pieces) * 1004x488x2mm Plexiglass (3 pieces) * 997x482x2mm Plexiglass (1 piece) * Foam strip (15m) Since you'll need to extend all the cables to connect the printer, get these: * JST SM connectors male/female You only need the 2-pin variant but it doesn't hurt to pick up a complete set. * Some wires (I used 22 AWG for everything that's not heating anything) * XT-60 connector male/female for the heated bed * 12 AWG wire for the heated bed The hot end cartridge was long enough to fit without any extensions.
