Dual Z Axis Support Mod for the Ender 5. Option with Sync Belts and Belt Tightener Using the dimensions from the PDF, I created a plate model. I wanted to avoid drilling any holes and moving the electronic box towards the center or back. So basically, the mod is completely reversible. Please note that the maximum print size after the mod will be reduced to X 230, Y 200, Z 285. The mod is based on off-the-shelf parts except for the bed support plate (attached CAD DXF, FreeCAD file and PDF with dimensions). I CNC'd my bed support plate but it can also be laser cut/waterjet out of suitable material or you can remix my design to make the bed support a bit thicker than the current 3mm and 3D print the support. The bed support is sandwiched between the heated beds original support and the bed leveling adjustment screws. Parts to order online: 1.
