Ender 5 Direct Drive Extruder Mount

This mounting plate combo combines two different designs I have created for my Ender 5+. The width matches the stock hotend mount, but it has the height and extra wheel from the Enomaker design. To add strength, I integrated the spacer included in the Enomaker kit directly into the plate. A small motor support was also added to stiffen up the mount and reduce flexing. As of now, this part hasn't been printed or tested, so it may still require adjustments. If you get a chance to try it out before me, please leave a comment about any changes you'd like to see. I plan on creating a V2 that accommodates dual gear extruders. 6/5/20 Update: Material was added between the hotend mounting holes to enhance strength and support in this area. 6/12/20 Update: An additional file for the mount without motor supports on the back has been uploaded. 11/5/20 Update: A new model using a dual gear extruder and eliminating the stock cooling box is now available. This model can also be used with a standard aluminum extruder, but you'll need to adjust the spacer thickness to fit your needs. Heat set inserts (M3-0.5mm) are utilized in this design, which can be found on eBay or Amazon at an affordable price. The parts cooling fan is a 5010 radial fan, and specs for the fan and inserts can be found in the pictures. BLTouch is designed to work with the Geetech model featuring a metal probe but may also function with the standard plastic probe.
