Ender 5 dial guage holder
thingiverse
I made a thing! After watching the teaching tech article https://teachingtechyt.github.io/calibration.html#xyzsteps on printer calibration i wanted to make up something that would work with the Ender5-pro. The installation requires removal of the printer nozzle and fixing the part to the print head using a 6mm bolt - i adjusted the depth of the hole to suit the bolt that i had. The part will print with a 6mm thread- but you may want to apply just a little heat to the bolt before you install it to help it tighten but not destroy the plastic. This part can attach the print head and allows you to calibrate the printer in three axes for the correct steps. I also used some 3mm grub screws to make sure that the dial gauge can not move during measurements. Just apply a little heat to the grub screw before you try to install and it shouldn't crack the plastic. feel free to change if you need to, and to that end i have included the fusion 360 file for fellow tinkerers. My dial gauge has a range of 15 mm, so i used a 10mm movement for calibration. After setting the options, i got 10.00mm movements in three dimensions.
