Struts to support the bed on the Ender 5 (or similar), to reduce vibrations and generally increase stability.

Buy me a coffee

I wanted to combine the best bits of this and this design and here is the result. Fundamentally, it's the 'compressive' version, but with my own (more extreme) take on the trusses. I also redesigned the reinforcement structures on the front plate because... why not.

I'm not an engineer, so who knows what effect is has on the sturdiness, but they work well for me!

The back plates are unchanged, but included for completeness.

Print Settings

Resolution: 0.25 (with Cura's 'Adaptive Layers' on defaults)

Infill: 25% Cubic (with Cura's 'Connect Infill Lines' checked)

Filament: FilaPrint Sky Blue Premium PLA

Notes:

The adaptive layers led to 0.95mm top/bottom thickness.

I left wall thickness at 0.8mm, hoping the connected infill lines would add enough extra strength.

It all came out well, although some extra bulk wouldn't go amiss.

I've reorientated the support's models to fit diagonally on the Ender 5's bed. The left/right supports are identical, but mirrored.
