Ender 4 Magnetic 40 mm Fan Duct
thingiverse
I encountered some issues with bridges and the benchy when testing my ender. So, I started searching for a duct. I had standard fans available, but only one design worked with the original printhead used previously. However, that one didn't meet my needs either. I decided to create my own fan duct. It is attached magnetically to the original printhead, allowing easy removal without tools. For instance, the laser can be reattached effortlessly. This principle isn't ideal, but it does improve print quality, as shown in the picture. UPDATE: I designed a version using a 5015 fan with stronger airflow (check out the remixes). To print this, use the "support touching printbed" setting. You'll also need: 40 mm fan - preferably 24 V 2 neodymium-magnets 10 mm in diameter and 3 mm thick 2 to 4 screws for the fan a plug connector for 12V or 24 V (i.e., 2-wire JST battery-plug) wire with a connector (possibly mounted at the fan) connected to the controller-board Depending on your fan, you can use the 24 V from the Ender-4 Board (some use it for LEDs) or the 12 V right under the plug labeled "laser" - this one is controlled by Marlin (2.0, the version I'm using).
