Ender-4 Drag Chain Mounts for Hot End

Ender-4 Drag Chain Mounts for Hot End

After watching YouTube videos of the Tronxy X5S with its drag chain attached to the hot end, I decided to design one myself. The frame mount was remixed from Trippindicular's X5S drag chain mounts. Since I had a 10 x 20 drag chain and not the original 10 x 15, I had to redesign for the bigger chain. You can find the original file at the address below: www.thingiverse.com/thing:2708865. The trolley side was an entirely new design. It slides down and fits between the spacers on the V Slot bearings, then gets bolted to the trolley with a bolt that holds the metal cover on the stock hot end - or in my case, the third mount screw for the E3D mount. I'm still working on rerouting the wires through the drag chain, but I wanted to get it posted. To assemble this project, you'll need: 1) A 10 x 20 drag chain. You can either purchase one or make your own using the many designs available on Thingiverse. 2) Two M5x8 SHCS (I used Panhead screws). 3) Two M5 T-nuts. 4) Four M4x8 SHCS (again, I used Panhead screws). 5) Four M4 nuts. 6) A M3 bolt that's about 4mm longer than your current bolt. For me, this was a M3x16 bolt, but if you're still using the stock hotend, a M3x12 should be good. Edit: The drag chain I used for this project is available on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M1EUPC3/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. If you want to print one, there's also a good cable chain design available on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:611593.
