It is much safer than using magnets, you can still use the 3D printer normally, the laser zero offset is X61.5 Y17.5. You can also use it as pen plotter :) -> For laser engraving, 500mW is good for outline and Black & White. I have good results with CrealityWorkshop app and also ImageToGcode Converter: use M106 and M107 commands https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2726163 -> For plotter you can use any of the applications above, but as command use, for example: Z0 (down, write) Z1 (up, not writing). Profile for ImageToGcode testing, adjust your burning focus to Z 20mm: (test gcode added) ; Parameters: ; ; Min Power: 3 % ; Max Power: 30 % ; PWM Resolution: 255 ; Burn Speed: 8 mm/s ; Travel Speed: 50 mm/s ; Vertical Resolution: 0.1 mm ; Horizontal Resolution: 0.1 mm Tips for a nice fit: Remove the bottom magnet (close to the laser lens), and keep only the screw. Tightening and loosening the screw you can control how tight the laser head will fit the holder.
