Ender 3V2 Cable Guide System with Filament Switch - Remix
thingiverse
Hi, this is in principle a remix of various parts, forming a set for a filament guide with run-out sensor. I had some issues with the original parts, e.g. as the filament was not guided well / had lots of friction which also was an issue when I tried printing TPU. So I tried my best to combine the ideas and created new parts with it. The switch now is movable, simply because this was easier to realize (for me) ... I merged two parts with Blender to keep my cable chain for the wiring and combine it with the spool for the filament. -> Ender3V2-CableChain+FilamentGuide-V03.stl You also need barrel, axis/pin and clip: https://cdn.thingiverse.com/assets/fb/3d/aa/27/32/Solo_Barrel_v2.5.stl https://cdn.thingiverse.com/assets/bb/e1/57/62/86/Solo_Pin_v2.5.stl https://cdn.thingiverse.com/assets/96/b1/6d/60/b1/Solo_PinHolder_v2.5.stl For the switch, I redesigned the switch box and the holder for it, based / inspired by the mentioned designs. The axis is some filament (you may drill up the axis whole and the filament guide with a 2mm drill). The switch is the Ender 3V2 endswitch, as this was replaced with a BT Touch and is anyway no longer used as end switch. by the printer. You need a cabeling that is long enough. I only found something on AliExpress with switch, but cheaper than anything I could have ordered locally AND would not have fit. :( -> Switch-lang.stl I missed a proper/smart cable guide on the initial part, but I have another version of it. There I also included a nose for the extruder wheel. That does not fit if printing up to the max height! There is also a smal version of the extruder wheel (and a nose to put it on). The bearing should easily fit in. It"s anyway more a optical fix! ;) -> REMIX-Gestaenge-Kabelage-normDorn.stl -> ExtWheel.stl The bearing from the Z-Axis is simply from a spare part (picture). And you need to remove the extruder wheel when doing "high" prints. (Unsolved problem...) For the cabeling I checked this link: https://notenoughtech.com/3dprint/filament-runout-sensor-for-ender3-v2/ and also did my reverse igeneering with the cable+switch I bought. The switch is not used and has a different wiring then the standard Z end switch. So I needed to fix the cabeling as shown on the pictures. Finally it's a 1:1 cabeling (pin 1 on pin 1, ... pin 3 on pin 3) Note: Connectors on original switch and aftermarket part are oriented the same way. The other STL are older revisions. I"m done with the development of the upper / switch part. For the lead on the extruder I would like to add a holder for a short tube to better guide the filament next to the z-axis. But as I merged the parts in Blender, I'm not sure if this will happen. :)
