Ender 3 Z Axis Mount (For Stepper Dampeners)
thingiverse
This is a Z-axis mount engineered specifically for the Ender 3, allowing users to incorporate stepper motor dampeners into their setup. The original design was inadequate, providing support for just one side of the motor and appearing flimsy in its construction. Notably, this revised mount may appear unnecessarily robust in certain areas, but I've opted for an over-engineered approach whenever possible. After all, why not take advantage of available space? The holes on this mount are 4mm in width, making them easily drillable with standard tools. However, if you plan to use larger bolts, I recommend adding additional interior walls to prevent infill from being compromised during the drilling process. Furthermore, six 2020 T Nuts will be required for assembly. A crucial note: this mount is designed exclusively for the stock stepper motors that come with the Ender 3. Upgrading to larger motors will leave insufficient room for their installation due to the tight tolerances built into the design – only a couple of millimeters separate the sides. If you encounter any difficulties during printing, I'll be uploading the G-code used for slicing; please keep in mind that it's optimized specifically for an Ender 3 and may not yield optimal results on other printers.
