This remix of Octal8's damper resolves two problems that I encountered. 1) The clearance issue between the top of the bracket and the heat bed wires without relocating the Z-stop and re-leveling. This was addressed by adding a chamfer to the leading top corner and decreasing the overall height of the bracket. 2) In the original, my belt twisted due to the offset of the stepper so I reduced the offset by 1.75mm. The belt now runs straight. This uses the factory screws and is a fast installation. Note that as seen in the photo, I have moved my Y end stop forward to mechanically center the build plate. Moving the nozzle may push down on the heat bed when homed, but this has not caused any problems for me.
