Recently installed dampers on my Ender 3's X and Y motors, effectively isolating them from the frame's heatsinking system. As a result, they quickly reach scorching temperatures during prints. To mitigate this issue, I needed to devise a way to install an active cooling fan for these motors. This custom fan mount standoff is specifically designed for the NEMA 17 motor on the Ender 3 Y-Axis, taking into account the heated bed and its adjusting knobs for optimal placement and accessibility. After printing, simply attach these clips to your preferred 40mm fan using M3 screws of suitable length (I used M3x12) and secure it in place with a zip tie. It's essential to note that this mount is directional, so ensure correct orientation during installation.
