Problem: Adding a damper to the Y axis stepper on a late model Ender 3 causes the bed mount to collide with the back of the motor due to increased width. A possible workaround is to move the Y axis end stop forward, as shown in [this modification](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2879245), but this may cause the nozzle to hit the front of the bed during auto homing or bed levelling. This mount solves the problem by repositioning the Y axis stepper to accommodate the added width of the damper, while also minimizing adjustments to belt tension and pulley position on the motor shaft. The design is intentionally wider and thicker than necessary to add stiffness and rigidity to the overall system. Some users have reported increased heat from their stepper motors after installing dampers; consider adding extra cooling if this becomes a problem for you. Only factory screws are required, but I recommend replacing stepper motor allen screws with standard M3 phillips computer case screws. These screws typically have larger heads and flanges that distribute screw-down force over a greater surface area. If the top of the mount touches the print bed after installation, simply move the Z axis end stop up slightly, re-level the bed, and you'll have the required clearance.
