X gantry mounted LED light strip mount designed for Ender 3 and Ender 3 Pro printers, also fits onto any 2020 or 2040 T slot rail, making it suitable for other printers. Mounting simply involves clipping into the rear T slot of the X gantry, where the LED strips are angled a few degrees to direct light under the gantry. Two versions exist: V2 features a fillet on the underside for added strength and stiffness. I recommend sliding this mount in from the end of the channel rather than attempting to press it into place, as trying to do so may result in breaking the mounting points. Installing LED light strips not only onto the X gantry but also into both vertical uprights is possible with additional mounts available on Thingiverse. Wire management is crucial; I threaded power wires through a braided sleeve up to the extruder and then routed them to the LED mount. To protect these wires from damage, I created a simple clip to hold and hide them. A similar mount has been designed for attaching a 50mm LED light strip onto the hot end to illuminate the nozzle from the side and eliminate shadows. Additionally, a switch mount has been developed for discreetly mounting a power switch for the LED lights.
