Ender 3 X axis short belt tensioner (Stock Parts only)
thingiverse
Tension Bolt Side-print, Reinforced Tensioner Case, and Easier Tensioning Cap are all part of one convenient set; Tensioner Case, Tension Bolt, and Tension Cap make up a second set for even better fitting. If you want to tighten the belt to an extremely high tension, I recommend choosing the first set to make it significantly easier and less likely to fail. Update - 10/20/19: The Tensioner Case and Cap have been adjusted. One plug of the case may collide with a screw, so you should carefully snip it shorter by 2mm using clippers to ensure a snug fit. The Cap for the side print bolt has been tightened to prevent thread slippage. Update - 10/10/19: Worried about the bolt breaking due to layer separation? There's now a side-friendly print version of the Tension Bolt and the Tension Case available to accompany it! Ender 3 or Pro X-Axis Belt Tensioner for short belts. The original version was found to be too tight for my belt, so I remixed this one for the tighter belt that my 3D printer has. It only tightens the belt up by an additional ~10mm, but my belt is already somewhat tight on installation alone. I made several key revisions: -a sleeker design -shortened overall length -the tensioner case allows a looser initial belt position for easier installation -the tensioner bolt enables tightening of the bolt onto the bearings without any issues -a stronger bolt -different bolt and case alignment method
