Ender 3 X Axis Carriage for Top Mounted MGN12
thingiverse
I wanted to utilize a linear rail along the X-axis of my Ender 3 Pro, while limiting the loss of build depth on the Y-axis by positioning the rail atop the 2020 extrusion. (v1) boasts a hole that allows for clearance of the linear rail carriage. Upon mounting it, I discovered that this feature was unnecessary. (v2) eliminates the hole, which should result in a stronger part. To secure the rail in place, an M5 x (8 to 10)mm bolt and nut will be required for the top hole. This setup can also be adapted for use with the CR-10. (v#a) has been remixed into a belt holder design. (v3a and v4a) have been reworked from a different mount based on the design found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3489340.
