Ender 3 V2 Spool Roller
thingiverse
Ender 3 V2 Filament roller using two 628 bearings. The two bearings sit on an axle which recesses into the roller shaft. The 628 bearings have an inside diameter of 8mm, so i made the axle 7.8mm diameter. If you use bearings with a smaller inside diameter, then you could make your own axle. You can't make the axle diameter bigger though, as it wont fit into the recess if you do. I didn't use supports, and it turned out fine. There is a little bridging in the recess where the axle and bearings fit, but as it is hidden, I didn't think that supports were needed, but if you are worried about it, then you could use them. The filament roller can fit rolls up to 90mm wide, but as I use 60mm wide rolls, I printed out two 10mm spacer washers (red in the photo), and, when fitted, the filament sits really nicely, and doesn't over roll. Omit those if not required. The spool washer fits on the end of the roller before fitting it. I designed it this way to make it easier to print without supports. When screwing into the nut, the nut may need to be rotated so that when the roller is tight, the bearings finish at the top. It should only take a couple of adjustments to get this correct.
