Ender-3(v2) spool holder adapter for larger spools
thingiverse
This is a simple adapter for the stock spool holder of the Ender-3v2 (Which i believe is the same on the other Ender-3 variants.) With this adapter you can use wider and taller spools, while still allowing the use of regular spools, and also requiring no additional components. It allows for the use of spools up to 110mm wide, by simply extending handle length, and moving the innermost part outwards to prevent a spool from interfering with the threaded rod. It's a 100% printable solution to a simple problem. Perfect for those who can't be bothered to get ahold of some bearings *WARNING: Using a large spool will almost certainly limit your Z-axis! The extruder will hit the spool at 220mm Z when using a 300mm diameter spool (on an ender-3v2.)* *Your spools inner diameter has to be a minimum of 50mm to fit.* Print two of the main part, and one of the locking ring. remove the original handle from the printer, and put the two halves around the handle, and use the locking ring around the back to keep them together. There will still be some play, to the parts, but it doesnt matter, the weight is transferred to the original handle. The handle then slots back on like normal.
