If you're using the Ender 3 Dual-Z Axis upgrade and have installed the Z screw retainers you can gain an extra 10mm by removing the extruder knob. I kept misplacing mine, so as I have the rest of my tools clipped around the printer it seemed a good idea to do the same for the knob.
