Ender 3 V2 Direct Drive - BMG + E3D V6 + CRTouch
thingiverse
The holder is designed for the ender 3 V2 handle, a clone of the BMG extruder and the E3D V6 hotend. The hotend is held by the extruder housing, thanks to which the filament path has been shortened to a minimum. I created this mount to have the motor and extruder as close as possible to the X gantry bracket to not have the weight of the motor hanging a long way away from the metal bracket. The hotend is placed exactly where the original hotend would be, so you're not loosing any print area in the X and Y. It's also as compact as I could get it with the goals I had in mind and you're not losing a tiny bit of Z axis. You need to use a slim extruder motor, preferably a pancake style one. The length of the motor cannot exceed 28mm or it will interfere with homing the X axis. This is the first version, the airflow is not yet fully optimized and is designed as a test. Currently everything fits, I will try to improve the airflow later. There is no list of screws needed, I used M3 screws and nuts from 6-10mm + 3 long ones for fans. Before assembling, insert a hexagonal nut into each hole. Approximate CRtouch offsets X -42 Y -10
