Ender 3 V2 / CR10 Display Knob Button Cover
thingiverse
Please read before printing... Have some fun. This is an Ender 3 V2 display knob cover that dramatically speeds up it's operation. I designed it like a propeller because I like airplanes:) After my first touch screen display on another printer, I had to design something to make the knob / button much faster. Fit is really important. My personal one slides on and off with ease but allows for non slip operation of the button / knob. You may need to slightly scale up or down depending on your filaments expansion and contraction. I used tree supports to build plate in Cura at 100% speed at 220C/80C to support the bottom of the propeller blades. I came out very nice. I understand that everyone says that you have to print TPU very slow. Not always. It depends on the material. For filament I used Priline black TPU with a 95A shore hardness rating. Most TPUs are. I'm going to try Amazon Basics TPU next. It is quite a bit softer and more flexible. I will try that in the future simply because of texture. I have not tried PLA or PETG Again, for a good fit, you may need to slightly scale up or down in your slicer depending on your filament type and expansion and contraction. Have fun. This is a simple but very effective add on. You will be surprised at how fast you will dial in from 0 to 200+ degrees with this! Ender CR10 control box style with metal shaft version in the works and coming soon. Keep in mind. You can scale this one up and use it on a CR10 display control box with knob on. The hub version should provide a stopping point so it doesn't slide down when pressing stock button.
