Ender 3 V1 Flush Drawer

Ender 3 V1 Flush Drawer

I can't quite call this one a remix, although the idea started by looking at [this](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3041655/) model from BasKoning then turned in to a completely from-scratch build. The goal was something that would be flush with the 4040 rails of my original Ender 3 v1, but hang from the 2040 Y gantry rail on the left without blocking the vents for the electronics box or getting in the way of things I like to put there as well. Basically, to clone the electronics box but as a drawer for the right side of the printer. I didn't want any supports to be necessary either. All the rails are cut so there's never anything greater than a 45' angle. Four pieces to print. "Body" is just that, the outer shell of the drawer. Print it with the back down. "Lip" is an insert that you'll have to glue on to the body. I did this at first as a test-fit piece, then kept it since it provided a catch for the drawer and ... you could print it a different color? I dunno. The top of the body overlaps this to provide a clean seam from the top. Yes, the rails on the body are .2mm short of reaching the lip, that was on purpose so don't glue there. The drawer is pretty basic, and has a little nubby that pokes out the front to align a face plate to it. I did this because I wanted to do a decoration with a color swap on the face plate and needed it to print face-up. It _does_ 'clip' on, but it is only there for alignment. Smear some glue on it and slap some binder clips on it to set nice and flat. There are two face plates to choose from. One has a notch taken out of it that accommodates a belt tensioner on the Y axis. Your fit may vary, so double check with calipers before printing (or just be ready to take the xacto to it to shave it down if necessary). I decided against holes or knobs in favor of a lip on the top and bottom edges. This not only matches the hidden nozzle drawer nozzle I have, but works perfectly well.
