Ender 3 Top Rail Spool Holder Bracket

Ender 3 Top Rail Spool Holder Bracket

This is a bracket I designed that will slide onto the top rail of my Ender 3 Pro. Earlier I had printed a spool holder that I think works great and provides smooth spool rolling by using 608zz ball bearings. I wanted to keep using this spool holder but also keep my spools on top of the machine since I have little bench space. The spool holder I used can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2384414. I highly recommend this spool holder. You will also need 4 608zz ball bearings. Print 4 pieces of the spool holder (thingiverse link above) and assemble. Print 2 Top Rail Spool Brackets. Mostly standard Cura settings, but I did change wall thickness to 1.2mm for added strength. Remove plastic end cap and 2 screws from the top gantry rail that is opposite the z-axis screw. Slide the brackets onto the top rail. They should go on easily with a little effort. Reinstall the top rail screws. To keep the spool holder from sliding I used double-sided tape. Note: This bracket is made for spools that are approximately 60mm wide.
