Ender 3 Tool Holder - Power Supply Mount - No Supports
thingiverse
I designed another tool holder for my Ender 3, but couldn't find one with a pocket big enough for flush cutters and small needle nose pliers, so I made my own. Hanging or standing tools up on their tip in a small hole isn't reliable since it requires more attention when placing the tool back in its home. With a pocket-style holder, you can just drop your tools inside without worrying that they'll fall out if you bump or move the printer due to vibration. The angled pockets also reduce airflow impact from the power supply fan. This tool holder attaches to the power supply using three factory screws that only engage about 1mm of thread, but provide enough strength for the job. Printing it in two pieces avoids supports and results in a cleaner print. I attached the mounting plate with three M2x10 screws or you could use filament or toothpicks and super glue them in place if you don't have small screws handy. I printed it at .2mm layer height and 50mm/s with no issues and no supports.
