Ender 3 Switch Slider
thingiverse
The Ender 3 is essentially the ultimate printer, but the fact that it was impossible for me to perfectly center my prints on the build plate has been driving me crazy. The Switch Slider allows you to move the X-Axis limit switch several millimeters to the left and center your prints. You may also have to adjust the Y-Axis to achieve perfect dead-center alignment, but this requires only a few T-Nuts mounted to the frame. I particularly like this mod because it enables you to eliminate the boxy cover that conceals the X-Axis stepper bolts and makes adjusting the pulley quite challenging. If you plan to install stepper vibration dampers, this is an ideal mod to perform at the same time. I highly recommend dampers; my Ender 3 is almost completely silent thanks to them. Several essential notes: You will need two or three M3 x 4mm screws. The Switch Slider fits snugly into the X-gantry and may not require the screw that anchors it to the extrusion. If your slider is too large to fit, try reducing your flow to 95-98%. The Creality screws are excessively long! They will scrape against the X-axis pulley, so use two M3 x 4mm machine screws instead. Aim for a gap of around 4.6 millimeters between the switch and the end of the aluminum extrusion to perfectly center your prints. The ideal gap may vary slightly depending on individual preferences.
