Finally got around to setting up a webcam for my OctoPrint setup, but none of them checked all the boxes of: rock solid, clean, good field of view, attaches to accessible point of my printer field of view https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WW8rzolb-cw so when in doubt remix from piece and parts you like, why re invent the wheel when you can mix and match from the best wheels Stewpercharged made a really cool and very sturdy, almost ultimately sturdy arm, but it attached to v-rail that is covered up by my SD card adapter... I also didn't need the ribbon channel so I completely resurface the bottom edge, along with scaling it up to make up for the lower point of attachment... very good design to start from... thanks Stewpercharged the Logitech C920 is a great camera for our purposes, but the stock mount... leaves a LOT to be desired and is weird and tricky to attach, let alone secure and solidly, Felwat made a wonderful design to let you rip out all of the Logitech silliness and replace it with a clean mount, unfortunately both the arm and the mount had male attachments, and there was more room to work with on Felwat's design so a small change to make it a female attachment using m4 hardware you'll need 1x m4 nut and 1x m4-12mm screw the 40x40 mount can use the original creality screws I borrowed some quick geometry from MonkeyDJackson and CorpseShoulder designs because it was literally quicker than digging out my calipers or looking up measurements... .... don't judge me... we've all done it, I just cite my sources I initially designed it for only the right side, but there's pretty much no reason you couldn't use it on the left if the spot is free, so I'm including a left arm version as well I made a version that was shorter than I preferred as I was going along, but maybe someone might want it so its included also also including the arms without the mounting point, and the mounting points by themselves, so you can remix to whatever other camera you have easily as you can see the c920 has a lot of slack, I bundled it as neatly as I could for now with some zip ties... once I'm fully settled on it, I plan to cut the male connector off, and solder a new one on without all the slack for a nice a short and clean cable run including a few pictures of the setup and some video to get a feel for the field of view from the camera... don't judge the fuzziness... I still need to tweak the focus and camera settings better
