This stand was specifically created to hold a ball-bearing spool holder designed by nathansc, who can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3551666.\r\n\r\nOther spool holders may also work with this design, but I have not conducted any tests.\r\n\r\nI designed this stand because I acquired some 5 kg spools, only to discover that PLA is insufficiently strong for these heavy weights. This design is ideal for the standard 1 kg spools, however.\r\n\r\nWhen printing, I suggest laying it on its back in the slicer.
