Ender 3 Spring Feet Vibartion Damper

Welcome to my first Thing! These are vibration dampers for the Creality Ender 3 and Ender 3 Pro! I'm excited to share this project with you. The stock feet on these printers measure 40mm x 20mm. To make these vibration dampers work, you'll need 8 springs that are 5mm x 25mm x 10mm in size. These springs can be found on Amazon or other online marketplaces. You'll find a more detailed explanation of the project in the README.txt file included with this Thing. Here's what you need to know about the springs: * Inner diameter: 5mm (not crucial, as long as it doesn't exceed 10mm) * Outer diameter: 10mm * Length: 25mm To print these vibration dampers, you'll need to print two files twice and the bottom part once. Yes, that's right - two times for each of the top parts and four times for the bottom part. Optional but highly recommended: Add a TPU insert to the underside of the lower half. I'm not sure how they would work without it, so I'd recommend going with TPU if you can. I printed these vibration dampers with a 0.28mm layer height, and while they look okay, I'm confident that this solution will be more permanent than other vibration dampers made from pure PLA (which tend to crack after a few months). After some tuning, these vibration dampers have been working flawlessly for me. Feel free to remix this project and have fun with it! ---------------- Troubleshooting: Q: My feet make cracking noises when the printer moves rapidly. What should I do? A: Most likely your springs are rubbing against the wall of their hole when they bend. The solution is to make the springs fit tightly into the holes by filling the gaps with soft material (cardboard, TPU snippets, rubber, etc.). This was my experience, and after 30 minutes of fiddling around, it worked flawlessly! Q: Some of my feet have little load on them. What should I do? A: Try putting some cardboard or TPU in the hole where the feet go. After some experimentation, you should be able to achieve a similar amount of pressure across all your new feet!
