I've designed an extended version of the filament holder for those long spools that seem to be getting out of control. You can find the original version at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3646853, but I think this longer variant might just fit on the standard version without any issues. Since I haven't tried it myself, I recommend measuring it carefully or printing the 70mm version below. This extended design is actually 10mm longer than its shorter counterpart at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4330931. To be honest, I've had some trouble with certain spool filaments (those pesky 1kg spools and smaller ones like 500g) that just wouldn't cooperate. The bearings would fall out or the inner part of the spool would be irregularly shaped - a real pain! But this simple design might just do the trick for someone in need, just like it did for me. I whipped up this design using Fusion 360, and I hope it helps you out as much as it has helped me.
