Ender 3 Spool Holder
thingiverse
This is a replacement for the stock Ender 3 spool holder. This allows for a smoother spin by using the ball bearings. It also has a counter weight to help keep the weight distributed evenly. The bearings I designed this around are 99502h bearings. I found them at a local ACE Hardware store in my area but they are also available on amazon. After printing the first one I made adjustments to the counter weight box to allow for more materials to be added for additional weight. There are two options for the body one for the counter weight, and one without. It is very sturdy without using any counter weight because the roller is at and angle and should be pointing down toward the main mounting stand connected to the printer itself. This keeps the spool close to the the center of the spool holder for a better center of gravity. I splice and printed everything using Matter control 2.0. I chose to use supports and it turned out really well.
