Ender 3 Spool Holder and Bearing
thingiverse
Spool holder with bearing. Offers a smooth roll for that filament spool. No external parts are required, everything is 3D printed in one piece. Check out this video of it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4T2LHLTaGk My stator is printed at 100% infill while the rest is printed at 10% with PLA filament. I also use mine without the retainer, which can be an option for you too. This spool holder was inspired by a few other models on thingiverse but none were fully 3D printed. They either required a bearing or bolt to work properly. Here are some examples of what I drew inspiration from: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3551666 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3209211 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3421762 This spool holder is designed for the Ender-3 but you can easily modify it using the provided FreeCAD source file. For compatibility, I used version 0.19.x of FreeCAD, which is available on github. # Printing Instructions To print this spool holder, make sure to include: - 12 Bearing Discs - 2 Cages - 1 Retainer - 1 Rotor Cap - 1 Rotor Left - 1 Rotor Right - 1 Stator - 1 Stator Cap
