Ender 3 Slotted Filament Guide
thingiverse
This remix takes a simple yet functional original by User MattEllison and adds some flair. I'd like to express my gratitude to Matt for creating something that sparked this remix. Why create a remix in the first place? Let's say you're in a rush, loading the filament without pulling it through the guide. This revised version, with an intentionally awkward slanted slot, helps mitigate that oversight. The slotted design enables filament insertion even after it's been loaded into the extruder and printing has begun. The filament won't back out of the guide due to its nearly vertical orientation; if it does try to escape, it must twist at the angle of the slot – an unlikely feat for a passive object like filament. This remix comes in two versions: one with the original length and another shortened by at least 20 mm. The shorter version offers flexibility when mounting the filament guide, even when the spool holder is positioned at its outermost end on the top cross-member of the Ender 3.
