Ender 3 - SKR 1.4 Rear Case

Ender 3 - SKR 1.4 Rear Case

thingiverse

This is a custom rear case designed for use with the Teaching Tech printer. The design accommodates both the SKR 1.4 Turbo and an RPi 4 board. The modified case has a taller and longer profile compared to the original, offering additional space for cabling. As a result, it requires approximately 10mm more clearance underneath the printer. I plan to utilize vibration-absorbing foam to elevate this area to the necessary height. In contrast to the standard design, the fans are positioned to face backward instead of downward. The SKR side is slightly wider than the TT counterpart, facilitating easier cabling management, particularly for power cables. The rear case features vent holes located near the front, which draw in air from the front and exhaust it out the back. Despite extending beyond the back of the extrusion, the design still fits within the confines of the Y-axis stepper motor's envelope. EDIT 2020-07-10: Additional files have been added to the original post, including STEP, Parasolid & IGES files in their own separate ZIP archives.
