Mounting Bracket for Ender 3 Spool Holder: A Simple Upgrade The Ender 3 spool holder can be easily mounted to the bottom side of the printer using a bracket that requires no new hardware. The T-slot nuts that hold the metal arm on top of the frame in the stock setup fit snugly into the slots on this bracket, allowing it to slide effortlessly into place on the extrusion. By relocating the spool to its new position, the Ender 3's frame becomes more balanced, reducing top-heaviness. Furthermore, the repositioned arm can now serve as a guide for the extruder and hotend cable bundle. This clever setup eliminates the risk of the Y-axis getting caught on these cables when printing tall objects, as demonstrated in my accompanying photo.
