Ender 3 side spool holder with brace
prusaprinters

Attach original spool mount to the end using 2 m5 t nuts

I wanted a side spool mount that stuck a bit further from the side but also have more height. This way it doesn't matter if I'm at 20mm or 150mm; there wouldn't be a sharp angle on the filament going into the extruder. I added a foot to support the end so there isn't any pull on the part at the machine, all the weight is being applied to the foot.

I test fit this to two different ender 3's and it glides right in. I added a screw hole if you feel you need it but I didn't.

I did use the measurements for the t-nut holes and the parts that fit into the side of the vslots from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3544593 but I built the model fresh and I've included the step if anyone wants to remix it. I'll still consider this a remix because I used some critical measurements that I didn't calculate myself.
