I've been using a custom side spool holder mount on my 2020 aluminum extrusion setup for my Ender 3 printer, and it's working flawlessly. I recently upgraded to a new version with an extended hole diameter, which has proven to be incredibly effective. This particular design is specifically tailored for regular spools but can potentially be adapted for use on the CR-10 as well.
