I tried another SD card extender and it worked perfectly, but I'm not too keen on the idea of the micro SD port and the flimsy ribbon cable being left exposed where they could get damaged easily. This particular extender completely encloses the micro SD port and the ribbon cable for added protection. It mounts to the left side rails using the existing electronics box mounting screws, which means no additional hardware is required. The only downside is that it covers up the USB port, but I never use it anyway.
