Ender 3 Satsana Fan Duct (More Airflow Mod)

Ender 3 Satsana Fan Duct (More Airflow Mod)

This is a modification to the Satsana fan duct (for printing with higher temps and all-metal heatbreaks). It has a larger air flow hole and is directed more towards the entire heatsink instead of just the fins. (Recommend to print with a brim to help with the very narrow areas. No supports should be needed as long as your printer can bridge correctly.) At first, I thought I could just make the hole bigger, but that left too much of an airflow to shoot downwards towards the hotend. Instead, I had to add an extra layer of material closer to the heatbreak to prevent this. It should sit just above the heatbreak and leave a bit of small gap from the hotend. I believe this should be OK, as the heatsink cooling fan should be always running so that part should never really get that hot to melt. Hopefully, this will help with heat creep as there should be more airflow around the heatbreak. Also, I modified the part cooling ducts to be a little farther from the heatsink (about 5mm each side) to help protect against melting in the future. :) If this works for you, please let me know. Original: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4369859 Note: The original design actually worked really well for me for just printing in PLA with the stock PTFE lined heatbreak, so if you do not intend to go to an all-metal heatbreak and don't have any issues with just printing in PLA, I'd recommend the original design. This one is intended for higher temps which require more cooling.
