Ender 3 S1 Drawer with Raspberry Pi
prusaprinters

This model is a replacement for the drawer of an Ender 3 S1. A Raspberry Pi can be mounted in the drawer. Ethernet and USB ports are accessible from the front. A small coutout can be used to route the power cord to the Pi.

The original drawer uses magnets to hold the drawer in place. In my opinion it sits firmly enough even without those magnets. Therefore I skipped the latches, which hold the magnets in place. The concept doesn't work in the original from creality either, so they added sticky tape (which you can do if needed, too).

Attention: The drawer has very small venting slots. With my Raspberry Pi 3 running klipper I had no problems with over-temperature. Nevertheless, heat may be a concern with higher ambient temperatures, enclosed printers or the Raspberry Pi 4. Please make sure to cool the device if necessary.
