Ender 3 Ribbon Cable Cover

This is my maiden design and build project. My goal was to completely cover the ribbon cable leading to the display panel, laying the groundwork for a comprehensive solution. This initial phase is just the beginning, with plans to follow up with a display cover that seamlessly integrates with this design. The display cover will expertly conceal the remaining portion of the ribbon cable and elegantly wrap around the display unit. This innovative snap-on design features no screwdriver slots for removal at present, making it semi-permanent in its current state. Despite this, my initial design and print proved to be a resounding success without any need for modifications. To ensure optimal performance and visual appeal, I printed the Cover vertically, leveraging its strength to enhance the snap function while also testing the feasibility of printing tall objects with small footprints. Although it did experience some slight bounce near the top due to changes in geometry, this had no discernible impact on the overall result. The ridge along the top edge of the Cover serves as a precursor for an upcoming drawer design that incorporates a detent function.
