Ender 3, Reversed Motherboard fan cover
thingiverse
I designed a motherboard fan cover for my Ender 3, but with a twist - it shoots out the back of the printer to minimize noise from the mobo fan. I also made it thicker and wider at the base to prevent air leaks and noise transmission. This taller design allows airflow since it's shooting out the back and under the bed, standing at 16.8mm tall, so be sure to check if it clears your bed leveling screw posts. It easily cleared my Creality glass bed with yellow springs, but you can scale it shorter if needed. I put this fan cover through several multiple hour long prints using a SKR Mini E3 1.2 motherboard and stuck a thermocouple in the motherboard compartment during the print jobs. Stock: 84-90F Forward facing fan cover: 80-85F Reverse facing fan cover: 80-85F I also included a guide to help you remember which way to turn your bed leveling knobs, and I painted it with a Matte white Sharpie paint marker or you can try filament color swap if you're feeling ambitious.
